LOS ANGELES, Calif. (April 5, 2018) – The Tampa Bay Lightning have their sights set on winning another Stanley Cup, and Mercury Insurance is giving fans the chance to be right there with the team by giving away a Lightning Playoff Prize Pack for each Lightning home playoff game played at AMALIE Arena.

Each Lightning Playoff Prize Pack includes:

  • Two (2) playoff tickets;
  • One (1) Tyler Johnson jersey; and
  • One (1) autographed Tyler Johnson bobblehead.

The promotion runs now through as long as the Lightning are in the playoffs. Fans can enter by visiting mercuryinsurance.com/lightning.

“Lightning playoff tickets are tough to get and Tyler Johnson is one of the most popular players on the team, so we know fans will be excited by the chance to win this Lightning prize pack,” said Erik Thompson, Mercury’s vice president of advertising and public relations. “We’re hoping for a very deep playoff run and we want to give fans the chance to be there every step of the way.”

The Lightning Playoff Prize Pack promotion rounds out the first year of Mercury’s sponsorship of the Bolts. The two presented Lightning fans with limited-edition 25th anniversary Tyler Johnson bobbleheads for getting an online Mercury auto insurance quote during the regular season. Additionally, Mercury Insurance and the Tampa Bay Lightning joined forces at AMALIE Arena for the “Mercury Insurance Drive Safe Challenge,” a one-day driving school immersion course designed to equip young drivers with the knowledge and skills they need to be safe on the road. The program was developed by Mercury Insurance to help reduce the leading cause of teen fatalities – car collisions – and make roads safer for everyone.

Parents and their teens took part in the event, where they learned collision avoidance and car-handling maneuvers from professional driving instructors and participated in an interactive classroom session led by the Tampa Police Department officers.
