Mercury General Corporation to Report Second Quarter Results on July 28, 2003

Mercury General Corporation (NYSE: MCY), a major California automobile insurer with operations in several states reported that on Monday, July 28, 2003, the Company will release results for its second quarter ended June 30, 2003. The Company also said that Chief Executive Officer, George Joseph, and President, Gabriel Tirador, will host an investor conference call that same day at 10:00 A.M. Pacific Time (1:00 P.M. Eastern Time) to review the Company's results of operations for the second quarter period.
