LOS ANGELES, Calif. (January 21, 2016) – Rock fans are familiar with Hall of Famer Sammy Hagar’s hits “Right Now” and “Why Can’t This Be Love,” but the rocker is also known for his annual Birthday Bash, which has become a legendary music event. Held each October at his Cabo Wabo Cantina restaurant in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, it’s one of the hottest tickets to see him jam with some of the biggest names in entertainment. Thanks to Mercury Insurance one lucky Redhead will win a trip for two to the Bash, courtesy of the “Sammy Hagar Birthday Bash in Cabo Presented by Mercury Insurance” sweepstakes.
The sweepstakes is part of Mercury’s sponsorship of AXS TV’s all-new series, “Rock & Roll Road Trip with Sammy Hagar Presented by Mercury Insurance,” which follows Hagar on a cross-country journey to provide viewers with behind-the-scenes access to some of his famous friends and fellow musicians.
“This is the second year that we’ve partnered with AXS TV to bring unique televised music programming to music fans,” said Erik Thompson, Mercury’s advertising director. “Sammy’s music has shaped many of our memories, so joining him on his road trip is a great opportunity to connect Mercury with his fans. Plus, we’re pretty sure we can save them some money on their auto insurance, so everybody wins!”

“It also gives them access to one of the hottest tickets in music – my annual birthday bash in Cabo. The shows sell out in seconds, so it’s really cool that Mercury is giving someone a chance to see me jam with a surprise group of artists on the stage at Cabo Wabo – it’s a really an amazing experience.”
