Mercury Insurance Bursts Onto the Music Scene for First Time with 'Mercury Insurance Concert Series' and Free Ticket Promo

Mercury Insurance partners with Live Nation, giving music fans free tickets for completing an online Mercury auto insurance quote

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (July 1, 2013) – Southern California offers hundreds of venues to see live music, whether under the stars at a large outdoor amphitheater or in an intimate nightclub setting. Beginning today, Mercury Insurance is giving local music fans a chance to see their favorite artists for free – while also learning about saving money on auto insurance – through its new partnership with Live Nation Entertainment. The relationship introduces the “Mercury Insurance Concert Series,” a six-concert series featuring ‘80s acts.

“Californians spend a lot of time in vehicles so, naturally, part of our driving experience includes listening to music. For most of us who love music, very little compares to seeing your favorite artists perform live,” says Erik Thompson, Mercury advertising director. “Our goal is to save consumers money on auto insurance and, we’re so confident in our rates, we’re willing to treat music lovers to a free concert just for giving Mercury a look.”

The “Get a Quote, Get a Pair of Concert Tickets” promotion encourages fans to complete an online Mercury auto insurance quote at http://www.mercuryinsurance.com/concerts. Upon completion of the quote, fans get a voucher redeemable for two free tickets to a 2013 concert of their choice, subject to availability, at a participating Southern California Live Nation-operated venue, including (but not limited to):

  • The Hollywood Palladium (6215 Sunset Blvd., Hollywood)
  • House of Blues Anaheim (1530 South Disneyland Dr., Anaheim)
  • House of Blues Los Angeles - West Hollywood (8430 Sunset Blvd., West Hollywood)
  • San Manuel Amphitheater (2575 Glen Helen Pkwy., San Bernardino)
  • The Wiltern (3790 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles)
  • House of Blues San Diego (1055 5th Ave., San Diego)

Vouchers can also be redeemed for the Mercury Insurance Concert Series, which kicks off with The Psychedelic Furs on July 12 at the House of Blues Anaheim. Additional confirmed acts include Big Head Todd and the Monsters (July 20 at the Gibson Amphitheater) and Dwight Yoakam (September 6 at The Hollywood Palladium). Additional artists will be added to the series throughout 2013.

“We know there are a lot of concert series and festivals from which to choose. What sets ours apart is we created it specifically with ‘80s fans in mind,” said Thompson. “These legacy acts remain extremely popular, but they don’t tour as often. This series gives us the opportunity to bring several of them to Southern Californian venues, giving locals a rare chance to see some of their favorite artists in concert.”

The Get a Quote, Get a Pair of Concert Tickets promotion, which runs through January 31, 2014, is open to California residents who are at least 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license (and who aren’t existing Mercury Insurance customers). Tickets are limited and all concert are subject to availability.
